An award-winning hyperlocal publication based in Toronto, Ontario, The Green Line embraces a solutions-oriented, community-driven journalism approach. It was the original organization and partner of Documenters Canada when the project first launched in 2024, and the first to publish Documenters’ notes in Canada.

Reimagining News is a course offered in the Journalism program at Toronto Metropolitan University where students aim to diversify journalistic formats and reach underserved communities. Students in the class have an option to be Documenters for a semester, focusing on an issue of their choice.
