We\u2019re delighted to report that we\u2019ve received a grant from the Inspirit Foundation that will allow us to grow!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The funds will support our continued work<\/a> with The Green Line in Toronto. It will also allow us to hire a network lead \u2014 a much-needed role to oversee the continued development of Documenters Canada across the country, working in current and future locations and helping us build partnerships with news organizations and community groups to help ensure the usefulness of the documents we\u2019re producing. We also hope this person will help us build a Community of Practice around Documenters Canada, to help us all learn from what\u2019s working in each location.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Finally, it will help us do a small, proof-of-concept-style launch in Montreal. Here, we have a nascent partnership with Pivot M\u00e9dia<\/a>, known for its unique style of journalisme engag\u00e9<\/em> and its interesting approaches to community-centered journalism (like its salle de nouvelles<\/a><\/em>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n We\u2019re still working it all out, but these new funds are a huge step for us.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" We\u2019re delighted to report that we\u2019ve received a grant from the Inspirit Foundation that will allow us to grow!
